Comrade Bush, Or "Clowns To The Left Of Me & Jokers To The Right"

by Benn Ray

So, is this what National Socialism looks like?

SOCIALIST Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez mocked US President George W. Bush as a "comrade" today, saying the American leader was a hard-line leftist for his Government's intervention of major private banks in the US. financial crisis.

Mr Chavez, who calls capitalism an evil and ex-Cuban leader Fidel Castro his mentor, ridiculed Mr Bush for his plan for the Federal Government to take equity in American banks despite the US right-wing's criticism of Venezuelan nationalisations.

"Bush is to the left of me now," Mr Chavez told an audience of international intellectuals debating the benefits of socialism. "

Comrade Bush announced he will buy shares in private banks."

15 years ago, I never would have predicted that it would be Republicans who helped bring socialism into American institutions....

Just be grateful that the GOP just now started focusing on "Joe the plumber". Can you imagine 8 years of them "fixing" the countries plumbing? We'd be shoulder-deep in actual shit, and the crabs, turtles, and goombas would be running rampant and doing propaganda films.
