Double Dagger is not only one of the most important bands in Baltimore, they are one of the most important bands to ever come out of Baltimore. This release moves them up another notch to one of the more important bands nationally. Seriously, I urge you, if there is one record you buy this year, this should be it.
The new record, called MORE, hints at BaltiMORE with its cover, hints at more sound made by a drum/bass/vocals outfit, more relevant lyrics, more punk in a world over run by precious indie twee and "artsy" hippie noodling... more more more!
I know we're only 5 months into the year so far, but this record is resting firmly at the top of my best list to date.
