Los Angeles is a city a half-billion dollars in debt.
And guess who's picking up the tab for the $1.4 million bill for policing and crowd control during Michael Jackson's memorial? Not promoter AEG, oh no. The city's taxpayers are getting stuck with the bill.
I'm thinking that should probably come out of Bubbles the Chimp's banana pudding money.

For us common folks, if you want a standard police escort for your procession, you have to pay for it, right?
It's pretty stupid that the public would have to pay for this pageant. What a circus.
