There will be a rally today outside Sen. Mikulski's office in opposition to protecting the healthcare industry's interests at the expense of people's lives.

Life saving drugs called "biologics" can cost up to $50,000 a year - which can hardly be described as affordable.

This rally is to try to get Babs' support to make sure people with serious medical conditions (breast cancer, Crohn's disease, etc.) have access to cheaper "generic" versions of these medications.

GodWatch: Good Christians Don't Trick Or Treat

This Halloween, when you see little children dressed up as their favorite cartoon character, just remember - they are celebrating evil.

Kimberly Daniels over at Pat Robertson's Christian Broadcasting Network warns:

The word "holiday" means "holy day." But there is nothing holy about Halloween. The root word of Halloween is "hallow," which means "holy, consecrated and set apart for service." If this holiday is hallowed, whose service is it set apart for? The answer to that question is very easy—Lucifer's!

She then goes on to tie the celebration of Halloween to "sex with demons", "orgies between animals and humans", "animal and human sacrifices", "sacrificing babies to shed innocent blood" "rape and molestation of adults, children and babies", "conjuring demons", "casting spells", "'time-released' curses against the innocent" and more.

And she warns that the way the demons get to our kids is through the candy!

"Curses are sent through the tricks and treats of the innocent whether they get it by going door to door or by purchasing it from the local grocery store. The demons cannot tell the difference."

So it's probably best to just avoid candy until November 2 (even if it's store bought) if you want to be sure you don't end up as an unfortunate case of demonic possession. Or worse!

Remember folks, there are only a handful of weeks left before the War on Christmas season begins.

UPDATED! Conservative Supreme Court Justice Still Favors Segregation

Sorry, this story is bullshit.

This one is not.

Conservative Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia is ideologically what is frequently referred to as a Constitutional "originalist" (or as I like to refer to them, "Constitutional Absurdists").

As such, he said today that:

...he likely would have dissented from the historic 1954 Brown v. Board of Education decision that declared school segregation illegal and struck down the system of "separate but equal" public schools. He said that decision, which overturned earlier precedent, was designed to provide an approach the majority liked better.

"I will stipulate that it will," Scalia said. But he said that doesn't make it right. "Kings can do some stuff, some good stuff, that a democratic society could never do," he continued.

"Hitler developed a wonderful automobile," Scalia said. "What does that prove?"

For those keeping track at home, this Supreme Court Justice not only implied that the Brown V. Boaard of Education ruling was popular in its day, but he just used Hitler to justify his support of a racist policy.
