The Whiskey Island Pirate Bao ( 2 pc.)
A Whiskey Island twist on traditional Chinese steamed buns. A slightly sweet yeasted wheat dough encloses a Hunan-influenced filling of bacon, smoked pressed tofu, garlic, chives, hot Tientsin chili peppers, and sweet dried chiles. Served with a fiery toban jian dipping sauce.
Buddha’s Bao ( 2 pc.) (Vegetarian)
Shredded seitan, shitake, bamboo shoot and a fruity homebrewed Cantonese-style barbecue sauce makes a 100% vegan “steamed pork bun” that’s fit for the Dalai Lama.
Siumai (4 pc)
Stuffed with a combination of hand-ground pork and the freshest shrimp available, finished with a drizzle of ginger-scallion oil, our rendition of the famous “cook and sell” dumpling is tucked into a tender Shanghai-style wrapper. This is an open top dumpling.
Su Ya (1 roll cut into 4 – 5 pieces) (Vegetarian)
Roast duck…without the duck!!! Seasonal vegetables, black mushrooms, and tofu stir-fried with a tangerine-spiked soy sauce, wrapped in tofu skin, then pan-fried for a crispy finish.
Jiaozi (4 pc)
Chewy and crisp on the outside, savory and meaty on the inside, home-style pot stickers with a pork, water chestnut and salted cabbage filling. Served with a Chinkiang vinegar dipping sauce.
