MD To Follow Arizona's Anti-Immigration Lead?

Hot on the heels of the unconstitutional, racist, abomination that is the Arizona immigration law, a handful of other states are queueing up to prove to white America that they hate anyone who looks, sounds or acts different too.

And thanks to Republican state delegate Pat McDonough (and the folks in Baltimore and Harford counties who elected him), Maryland is, at least right now, considered one of those states, along with Texas, Georgia, Colorado, Ohio, Utah, North Carolina, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Nebraska. Fine company to keep, indeed.

Whaddaya Know, Republican Voter Fraud

Republicans have been busted for voter fraud in California by tricking supporters of legalization into registering with their party.

Officials in California have launched a voter fraud investigation after dozens of people in Orange County said they had been tricked into registering as Republicans by campaigners who said they were petitioning for marijuana decriminalization and other causes.

So basically, Republicans are acting like mid-90s libertarians in a desperate attempt to swell their ranks.

For those who claim they "don't get" why their fellow community members are so concerned about the type of neighbor Wal-mart will be, for those who see nothing but the supposed "low prices" that Wal-Mart seems to represent - this is your opportunity to gain a better understanding of the situation that now faces North Baltimore.

Tonight is the Hampden Community Council's general meeting. On the agenda - the general membership is to vote on whether or not to support of the 25th Street Station development which includes a Wal-Mart and Lowes.

All Hampden residents are urged to attend.

... imagine that even one-third of the anger and vitriol currently being hurled at President Obama, by folks who are almost exclusively white, were being aimed, instead, at a white president, by people of color. How many whites viewing the anger, the hatred, the contempt for that white president would then wax eloquent about free speech, and the glories of democracy? And how many would be calling for further crackdowns on thuggish behavior, and investigations into the radical agendas of those same people of color?

And this, my friends, is what white privilege is all about. The ability to threaten others, to engage in violent and incendiary rhetoric without consequence, to be viewed as patriotic and normal no matter what you do, and never to be feared and despised as people of color would be, if they tried to get away with half the shit we do, on a daily basis.

RNC Chair Confirms Southern Strategy

After decades of Republican denial of its existence, the Chairman of the Republican National Committee, Michael Steele, finally admits they had a divisive and racist "Southern Strategy":

For the last 40-plus years we had a 'Southern Strategy' that alienated many minority voters by focusing on the white male vote in the South. Well, guess what happened in 1992, folks, 'Bubba' went back home to the Democratic Party and voted for Bill Clinton.

Sue Lowden is a Republican running for Senate in Nevada. And she's currently beating current Senator Harry Reid (D) in the polls.

She also wants Americans to use chickens to pay for health care.

Seriously, Nevada - what the hell is wrong with you? I understand ya'll may not be crazy about Harry Reid, but you actually think Sue Lowden is a viable choice for his replacement?

Oh, and Sue Lowden isn't the only Republican endorsing throwback bartering with barnyard animals as a means to pay for medical procedures.

Unfortunately, for anyone who is ridiculous to think this might sound like a neat-o idea, forget it. The math simply doesn't add up.
