In no particular order.
1. Paul Weller @ 9:30 Club
I saw god that day.
2. Boyd Rice @ Rocknroll hotel
I like Boyd Rice and you probably don't. But it was really cool seeing him play to a small room.
3. Adam Ant @ 9:30 Club
His new album sucks, but live he is still amazing. Played EVERY song you wanted to hear.
4. Death in June @ Ottobar Baltimore
Say/ think what you want about DIJ but they never play the states, let alone Ottobar. Great show.
5. The Make-Up @ Save Your Soul/ Lithuanian Hall
I was lucky enough to have my friends in The Makeup play a Coachella warm up show at my dance night. An amazing set and an amazing crowd. Legendary night.
6. Valiant Thorr @ Wind-Up Space
All around great band who really make a show fun.
7. Thee Lexington Arrows @ Rams Head Live
My fiance's band opened for J. Roddy, it was great seeing them play that venue.
8. Elvis Costello @ Lisner Auditorium
It's Elvis Costello... Do I need to say more?
9. FLAG @ Soundstage
Keith Morris and the rest of FLAG are the the closest you will get to seeing Black Flag. Oh and Milo from Descendents sang Damaged part 1 as the encore. Mind blown.
10. The Hip Priests @ Sidebar
The Hip Priests are a killer sleaze rock band from the UK and good friends of mine. My band The Idle Gossip were fortunate enough to play this show with them. High energy rock'n'roll!
