7PM $8/$5. The Creative Alliance at the Patterson. Highlandtown, Baltimore.
3134 Eastern Ave.
A documentary series sparking dialogue through timely, provocative films with in-depth panel discussions regarding criminal justice.
Curated by Paul Santomenna. Co-presented by the Open Society Institute.
Mario's Story (Koch & Werner, 2006)
As a teenager in East Los Angeles, Mario Rocha was sentenced to life for a murder he didn't commit. With his family and a dedicated team of advocates he's spent more than 10 years navigating the justice system fighting for his freedom- with a less than 1% chance of overturning his conviction. Mario's Story is a deeply moving film and a nail-biting thriller.
