Meet Illinois Republican Rep. Joe Walsh.
He recently faced irate constituents at a town hall event in Schaumburg, IL. Folks in his district are understandably upset over the Republicans attempts to shift even more of the tax burden to the poor while shifting more wealth to the top.
One constituent, who was particularly angry about the government giving subsidies to hugely profitable oil corporations while dismantling medicare, asked:
"...How about reforming the laws that give away our tax dollars to giant oil companies making record-breaking profits? ..."
Walsh seemingly agreed with this citizen, saying:
"... Energy subsidies. Absolutely. Absolutely. Get rid of subsidies for oil companies. ..."
The thing is House Republicans voted unanimously to protect those subsidies.
That means even though he told his constituents we should end oil subsidies, Walsh joined fellow Republicans like Tom McClintock from CA (who also said we should end the subsidies) as well as Maryland Republicans Andy Harris and Roscoe Bartlett to protect the subsidies for oil corporations.

God, this boils my blood. HOW are people still Republicans with this type of abusing happening every day? The middle class has been vaporized by people who don't understand simple economics.
