There were a lot of great pictures taken by friends and shared via social media of the massive storms that have been coming through Baltimore over the past few days. We've compiled them here as a sort of photo album.
The above picture by Stacey Mink is perhaps the most circulated and iconic of what happened to Baltimore in the rains. While city leaders are expressing shock at how a significant section of Charles Village could simply collapse and wash away, many city residents feel this should come as no surprise. This is what happens when we don't keep up with infrastructure.
And this picture is a sort of before/after that someone put together.
Below is another perspective of the washed-away 26th St. posted from Dana Murphy.
Call it what you want, but this is NOT a sinkhole. This is neglected infrastructure failure.
